For 2,000 years now Christianity has saved us from jesus. The real jesus. His teachings and example. And.....

 

The parable of the sower of the seeds that some Falls on rock, some Falls among the Thorns etc. Until very recently I thought that meant that people heard jesus' words and then turned away. No. It's much much much much much much worse than that. They hear his words, and then they either ignore them, they keep using his name, they keep using his brand, but they either ignore the words or they distort them into something that does not require them to repent or to change their hearts. That's christianity. .....For 2,000 years now Christianity has saved us from jesus. The real jesus. His teachings and example. And up pretty much until this winter time Christianity had saved me from the real jesus, right there in the teachings and example in the gospels, but not anymore.
