This morning I realized, for a long time I've been a solar cyclist trying to be a joyful child of creator. And that I can now move to being a joyful child of creator, as best I can follow Jesus teachings and example, while doing a little bit of cycling. I view this transition with a bit of trepidation, worry, and a lot of gladness.

By every objective measure it is.

After all these years there are no serious collaborators, funders, partners.... There are a few  moral supporters and they do help. 

The problem is, every alternative way I can think of spending my life and 2x poverty level resources, is even more ridiculous.

And until that changes, or somehow I am forced to find an alternative way to serve, I shall continue:

* pioneering, prototyping, the idea that Jesus showed us the perfect path, his teachings and example in the gospels. And everything added since or before is deadly pollution. Diluting the cure for joyless lifeless existence that he perfectly provided.

* discovering, given the limits of today's parts for such a thing, how to best implement an extraordinary extremely sustainable, extremely ethical material way of existing as represented by this wonderful living, serving, support vehicle.

* pioneering how to do so sustainably, everyday.

* learning quite rapidly, growing quite rapidly, everyday.

* keeping this 71-year-old stage 4 cancer surviving body as serviceable as possible for as long as possible, and learning how to do so better, on a pretty regular basis.

* and yes, teaching cooperation and respect mile by mile. And clearly many get little bits of the lesson, and some ignore it with rage but there's hope for them in that later on down the line. No question.

* in all this demonstrating how to live with 5 x the joy, and vitality on 10 or 1000 x less resources than most people have ever imagined possible. Including myself, most of my decades.

* thereby sharing, planting seeds, of everything that I learn, everything that I do, for others to learn from, to reject, to abandon, to ignore, to neglect, to ridicule, to embrace, to profit by.... Near certainly if imperceptibly accelerating, the growth of an individual soul here or there, and thereby our Collective growth.

Jesus gospel gave us perfect instruction for dwelling in this life in creators Kingdom of infinite joy life peace individually. Instantly Christianity perverted and diverted our attention from those gospels, his teaching and example. The rest is history.

 

The solution to life is to devote every breath to being good in the world, as demonstrated by one and a million throughout the ages. For the divine joy of it, in this life. To do so today without mastering the teachings and example of the man Jesus is not a serious attempt.

How Christians can.... think that this is not absolutely Central to whether or not someone gets into heaven, well, the only way I can see it happening is absolute delusion and denial. To which they're entitled but it breaks my heart. You would think that the verse says, but God knows your thoughts, God knows your own beliefs, but it does not.Like so many other passages it talks about the heart and soul being everything. Getting and keeping them right is everything.

Judaism is a way of behaving. Christianity is a way of believing. Jesus offered a way of being. I find Joy, Life, only in Jesus way.

 

These are the shortest how to be in such a way that we remained soul for eternity. Christians replaced it with a belief system that kills the soul but pleases his head and flesh.

Jesus offered a behavior system. No one wants it. So Christianity was invented, not a behavior system, a belief system. It sells like hotcakes.

 

I think these two things are related . 1. Christians take everything in the Bible seriously except the teachings of the man Jesus. 2. Only the teachings and example of the man Jesus demand that we radically change our lives from what our head and our flesh want.

There was an almost never seen innocence, wonder, and awe, on the faces of the two children, and the wife of this young man that has been so good to me. Wonder and awe are the Hallmark of the still-alive soul. In all four I experience an almost never encountered presence of the divine.

Young lady, I replied, I hope you're right, and you know why I hope you're right? Because I want the joy of that, it's all I want to be. Jesus said, I tell you these words so that my joy might be fulfilled in you. And I said, Young lady, that's what I find, the more I study his teachings and try and live the way he did, the more joy I have.

How wonderful God is if God set in motion a process that spun out miracles like this. How incredibly tedious, what a horrible neurotic time waster, if instead God manages every detail. I mean, how does God decide moment to moment how many grains of sand there are to be on a particular beach? Could God really be so trite?
