My most important learning yet: Spirits holy, James. Spirits holy!

As a species we will never recover from The spectator sport, fantasy game, christianity, but as individuals we can recover Jesus instructions, teachings, example for the joyful life of it. And potentially for those we can influence.

Last evening was quite rough at the Walmart parking lot. The stream of rough rude ... people was

quite amazing. Never does anyone touch the vehicle but last night at several points different people did. One yelled loudly and repeatedly trying to rouse me.

Spirits holy, james. Spirits holy! At stressful difficult times each day and or when faced with temptations bringing that mantra to mind is more useful than anything I've ever found.

I have many spirits within me, I suspect you do too. And one of them I would refer to as holy.

Why my convoluted language, why don't I say holy spirit? Who knows what holy Spirit means? Some religious garbage. But that I and you and everyone can find a spirit within us among many that we would term holy, that may be Jesus Central and greatest insight.

Blasphemies against all things would be forgiven, Jesus said, but not against the holy spirit. Until recently this was just a curious phrase to me, but it's now clicking into place that it is the centerpiece, the cornerstone, the essence of his entire religion. Invoking and keeping in charge within us the spirit that is holy is the only way of invoking it in others.

And last night alarmed, wondering if things were going to escalate into violence, wondering how I wanted to respond, that mantra brought everything I wanted into focus. Do I care about the vehicle? yes. Do I care about this useful body? Yes.

But more than either of those I care about the spirit holy being in charge, in me and in those that I encounter including in hostility. And the one and only thing that can achieve that is keeping it in charge within me in such situations, in all situations, for the collective potential joyful life of it. 

I think this is likely to remain the most important insight, the most useful insight, the most helpful insight of my life.

For more than 70 years you've kept me blind, christianity, but not anymore. Now I see.
